MOVE IT! by bike

Moving The World To A Greener Future

MOVE IT! by bike has been serving New Orleans by moving stuff since August of 2013 using a bicycle and a trailer that can haul 600lbs.

It's Complicated

Corry called MOVE IT! by bike to move her things to her new place.  Trouble was, she was out of town.  But Mary would be our contact person and help plan the move.  Mary had to make arrangements with Sarah, at Mary's old place and make sure all was ok to go with Bridget, Mary and Corry's room mate.  I think I have all this right.

When MOVE IT! by bike arrived we found Webster Street closed due to work being done by Entergy to the power lines.  The foreman of the Entergy crew allowed us in but we had to load our trailers half a block away because he would not let them on the street.  So that is what we did, carried everything out of the apartment to the side street where we loaded our trailers.

When we were finally on our way, our route took us through Audubon Park on their bicycle trail.  How nice it was not having to deal with cars and trucks.  New Orleans is adding a nice bike trail in the Lafitte Greenway and will be a super highway for cyclists and runners.

So the bottom line is on the day of the move, MOVE IT! by bike transported Corry's things from the 600 block of Webster Street to the 1200 block of Hillary Street.  Chris and Freddy did the whole move in 2 hours and Corry was billed $120.00.
