HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOVE IT! by bike

On this day two years ago MOVE IT! by bike was launched. It all started when Tim had to move when his French Quarter building was sold and the new owner gave all who lived in it 30 days to move out. Tim ordered a trailer from Bikes At Work and used it to to move his things and furniture. During his move he had many stop him to ask what was going on. Many asked if he could move them when the time came so Tim decided to go into business. MOVE IT! by bike started with that trailer a Marin Muir Woods bicycle and Tim. If you needed a couch moved the customer had to be on the other end of the couch to load it and unload it. Today MOVE IT! by bike has two trailers, three Marin Muir Woods bicycles, various pieces of moving equipment and a crew of more than a dozen independant contractors to call on.

We have a tradition at MOVE IT! by bike that the person we move autographs Tim's bicycle helmet. We retire this helmet every year so helmet #2 goes on the shelf and helmet #3 goes into use today. My hope is that it gets retired early for lack of room for autographs.
